Casa de Sava is located in the Centro Historico of one of Latin America’s oldest colonial cities, Merida, capital of the State of Yucatan in Mexico. From our front door you can easily access everything the city has to offer.

When you are staying in Merida, in addition to the attractions that are within walking distance, you are close to many of the fascinating archaeological sites that the Yucatan is so famous for. Within 100 miles of the city are the ancient cities of Chichen Itza, Uxmal, Edzna, Sayil, Labna, Kabah, Mayapan, Dzibilchaltun, just to name a few. There are also the charming colonial towns of Izamal, Tecoh, and Muna that make wonderful day trip destinations.

No trip to the Yucatan is complete without visiting one of the many beautiful haciendas that dot the countryside of the peninsula. Some of them stand in ruins, while others have been renovated and converted to four-star hotels, restaurants and museums. The beach is 30 minutes away. Excursions to swim in cenotes (underground caverns) can be arranged.

Wherever you are in Merida and the Yucatan, you will be in one of the safest places on the planet. Merida and the Yucatan are known for being tranquilo (tranquil). You can look forward to a stress-free and fascinating vacation if you stay at Casa de Sava.
